Vera Jenny Basiroen, or Jane, is a graphic design lecturer with a diverse skill set. Her interests range from sustainable design to women's artisan empowerment. She has expertise in graphic design, qualitative social media research, and interdisciplinary research. Jane's academicachievements, combined with her artistic and technological expertise, provide a comprehensive and convincing insight into her passion for helping batik artisans. This endeavor is part of maintaining the sustainability of Indonesia's rich cultural heritage.Highlighted achievements:<ul><li>Mentored and collaborated with Batik Tulis artisans in Lasem Regency, Central Java, for more than eight years to develop sustainable, contemporary batik motifs.</li><li>Led a project titled "Sustainable Batik Tulis Lasem Motif Design and Visual Communication Motif," which explored the historical background, nature, Javanese-Chinese culture, and community activities to educate and broaden the horizons of the batik artisans.</li><li>Wrote and reviewed various journal articles on topics such as women batik artisans' empowerment, sustainable motif development, and the impact of AI on batik motif development.</li><li>Actively participate in academic and community projects aligned with the UN 2024 goals for women empowerment and ethical principles for protecting biotic communities.&nbsp;</li></ul>
