Summary
The main pattern on this long cloth is the "Lawang Ombo" opium house and the Qilin. Qilin is a deer-like creature with scales like a goldfish. The head is similar to a dragon, complete with horns. The tail may be like a lion's tail, but it can also be like a cow's tail. Of course, artisans can illustrate the Qilin in different ways. The composition of the house, gate, ancestral altar, and Qilin pattern on the "Lawang Ombo & Qilin with Bledak Background™ cloth, which is spread evenly on the body of the fabric, results in a balanced and harmonious composition. The organic shape and loose curvature of the Qilin, spread in between the houses and other structures, is the center of attention of the overall composition of the fabric. The artisans and the researcher made this artwork from scratch on a long cloth size 1 x 2 meters. The public has enjoyed the results.
